HR Assistant

Location: Rugby

To assist and support the HR and Resourcing Manager in providing a professional, comprehensive HR and Resourcing Service which is effective in meeting stakeholders needs, allowing for business objectives to be met. This is a great opportunity for someone to start a career within a busy HR Function.

Key Duties

  • Provide high quality HR and Recruitment administrative support combined with excellent customer care
  • Effectively manage the HR and Recruitment in box and action accordingly
  • Retain confidentiality and compliance with data protection legislation at all times
  • Maintain personal data, the computerised HR System and the Applicant Tracking System
  • Effectively prioritise workload and manage conflicting demands, align support between both core HR and Resourcing
  • Administration of payroll and company benefits
  • Co-ordinate and update noticeboards at all sites
  • Ensure all recruitment paperwork is in order, Request to Recruit form, job description and facilities form
  • Apply for references for new starters
  • Assist CV searching and resourcing of suitable candidates as directed by the Resourcing Manager
  • Support in creating adverts for live vacancies
  • Assist in sending out candidate communication such as interview confirmations
  • Contribute to the on-going review and improvement of HR operational practises and procedures

What you'll need


  • Some experience of working in a similar role would be desirable

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to respond effectively and confidentially to sensitive issues  
  • Ability to remain calm in complex situations and when under pressure
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team relaying messages and information in a timely fashion
