Operations Manager

Location: Rugby


This role will be a key hire in our PERI leadership team as the successful applicant will assist and support our Rugby operation. You will work closely with our Sales and Technical teams to ensure we exceed customer expectations by providing a comprehensive first class operational service.

The ideal candidate will have worked at Operational Management level previously and will be able to establish and build relationships at all levels, working collaboratively with stakeholders across various departments.


Key Duties

  • Maintaining the operational performance of the region, overall management of teams and individuals within the department structure
  • Align operational strategy into regional objectives, reporting to the Regional Director
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all staff, customers and visitors, supporting our culture of a safe working environment
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all Company assets, property and services in conjunction with Facilities Manager
  • Develop relationships with key clients in line with company strategy, including implementation of losses and damage process
  • Work closely with functional heads/managers to ensure consistent, efficient and best working practices across the business
  • Experience in managing a team of around 25 staff developing individuals to reach full potential and utilising your management team to ensure sufficient succession plans are in place.
  • Practical knowledge of cost control and management

What you'll need

Experience

  • Health and Safety (NEBOSH or similar qualification) Essential
  • Operational/Warehouse/Logistics experience in a similar type of business would be ideal
  • PC literate with good knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • Experience of leading and motivating a team
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Objective-orientated, ability to lead results
  • Strong work ethic, open and reliable
