Technical Specialist
Competency Management & Training

Flexible Location

To assist and support the PERI Technical Team by providing and managing a comprehensive first class training and competency management programme.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support and safeguard the business by the development of a structured, methodised and evidence based competency testing programme
  • Understand the company Engineering Strategy
  • Production of UK specific training programmes and supporting spreadsheets & tools for standard PERI systems and applications
  • Provision of training in accordance with all UK legislation, practices and industry practices
  • Provide e-learning module options for all training programmes
  • Provide technical advice on all aspects of PERI
  • Actively promote the supply of a first class technical service and lead by example
  • Work closely with the National Technical Manager to ensure consistent, efficient working practices
  • Develop relationships with Technical offices and managers to promote development of Technical staff
  • Representing the National Engineering Team to collaborate with and support other departments and functions
  • Co-operation with the Engineering Director, Product Manager and Sales Managers to target training to help support strategic growth
  • Work with the Field Services Team to co-ordinate development of training programmes
  • Liaise with PERI GmbH Technical and Product Management departments
  • Co-operate with H.R. in development of Technical Training Program and on boarding process

Your Profile

  • Demonstrate an in depth knowledge in all aspects of formwork, scaffold and shoring designs
  • Proven ability to present to groups
  • Good working knowledge of CAD based design tools


  • HNC Minimum in a Construction related subject i.e. Civil Engineering
  • Health and Safety
  • Training and presentation skills


  • Good working experience of Frame Analysis programs
  • Good understanding of relevant European and British Standards applicable to PERI systems
  • Awareness of requirements for CDM compliance
  • Experience in knowledge management and staff development
