UK Infrastructure Manager

Location: Brentwood (Flexible)


You will set the strategic direction for Infrastructure and Civil Engineering project pipeline nationally, supporting the UK business to secure targeted projects, leading the evolution of solutions / systems to meet changing construction approaches within the sector overseeing the successful delivery of projects.


Key Duties

  • Monitoring the long-term outlook for infrastructure & civil engineering and projects to signal upturn or downturns in opportunities as early as possible
  • Early identification of target projects in order to develop potential solutions in advance of project being awarded to a specialist sub-contractor
  • Attending customer briefings and liaising with specialists in the UK or Weissenhorn to ensure the safest and most cost-effective solution is offered
  • Preparing bid material including actual and virtual sales aids tailored for each key project
  • Forecasting turnovers and managing budgets nationally
  • Presenting key project bids and leading contract negotiations, including NEC contracts
  • Managing a team of Sales Managers, Sales Engineers & Projects Mangers to secure & deliver target projects
  • Initiating a virtual project team for each secured job to make sure internal communication is effective across all departments and there is clear understanding of everyone’s roles and responsibilities
  • Maintaining records before, during and after each project is completed
  • Providing detailed product presentations to customers and other relevant parties e.g. owners, developers, main contractors
  • Remaining aware of all competitor systems and activity, indirect threats (e.g. slipform) construction trends, customer preferences

Experience

  • Strategic Construction Industry marketing and sales
  • Proven knowledge of all formwork, falsework, access and shoring systems used within the sector
  • High technical understanding of PERI Systems
  • PC literate with good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office standard programmes
  • Commercial experience within the infrastructure sector
