Rounding off a year that has seen PERI UK contribute to high-profile construction projects such as the V&A Museum of Design, Dundee, and Mersey Gateway, the business has been nominated for a top industry award.
The company is among 10 construction suppliers with a turnover of more than £25m, nominated for the ‘Best Construction Supplier to Work With’ accolade at this year’s Construction Enquirer awards. The shortlist has been comprised following more than 10,000 votes cast by industry peers, as businesses nominated the suppliers that they have enjoyed working with throughout the year.
The last nine months has seen PERI provide its proven formwork and scaffolding systems to major construction projects nationally, including Newfoundland Tower, and other high-rise projects in London, as well as Crossrail’s Farringdon Station project. This is in addition to launching its new lightweight formwork system DUO – a response to customer demand for a faster and more efficient formwork solution. DUO can be used for walls, foundations, columns, and slabs, and has been carefully designed by PERI to facilitate very easy handling and a minimal number of system components. Showcasing its versatility, the system has already been used on a wide range of projects from major infrastructure developments to smaller residential schemes.
This is not the first time PERI has been recognised with a Construction Enquirer award nomination. The company won a similar award for ‘Best Construction Supplier to Work For’ at last year’s ceremony, an honour that was voted for by its own employees.
Alasdair Stables, Managing Director at PERI UK said that being shortlisted for such an award for the second year running demonstrates PERI’s commitment to serving customers.
He commented: “Being shortlisted for a Construction Enquirer award is a great way to cap off a fantastic year for PERI. Not only has 2017 seen us take part in some major national construction projects, but it has also seen us launch a new formwork system, whilst continuing to develop our existing products to meet customer needs.
“It has always been our mission to be a reliable partner at every stage of a project. Ensuring we have satisfied customers is our highest priority and the fact that our industry peers have recognised this by nominating us for an award demonstrates that we are achieving our customer service objectives.”
The Construction Enquirer awards are the only ceremony of its kind to be voted for by the industry, making any nomination and subsequent award win, a unique honour. Winners will be announced during a ceremony in Birmingham on 10th October, alongside UK Construction Week.
