Purpose: A new distillery to enhance production capabilities and enable visitors to experience the production of the luxury single-malt whisky.
Hidden away in the countryside, the distillery is both a modest and modern architecture. The exterior is camouflaged by grass, enabling the structure to blend in with its natural surroundings, whilst the interior comprises concrete, steel and timber reflecting the complexity and detail of the design.

The Project
A timber gridshell shapes the undulating roof and gives the distillery its unique geometry
RUNDFLEX formwork adjusted to meet individual radi measurements for all circular distillery tanks
VARIO panel formwork offered flexible tie-hole positioning, ensuring a neat and consistent finish
TRIO panels were used to form buttresses to support the main walls
Architectural concrete finish is visible throughout the structure, both in circular and linear forms
