Concrete Sensors

Real-time Insights. Maximum Efficiency. Total Control.

In modern construction, "waiting and seeing" is no longer an option. PERI’s Concrete Performance Monitoring solutions, powered by Vemaventuri technology, digitize the curing and pouring process. By embedding intelligent sensors directly into your formwork or concrete, we transform guesswork into actionable data. Whether you are aiming to accelerate your schedule, ensure structural integrity in mass concrete, or guarantee compaction in "blind" pours, our ecosystem provides the transparency you need to build faster, safer, and more sustainably.

  • Waiting time and costs

    Reduced.

Save time and costs by optimising the concrete pouring speed and formwork removal time. Determine the water-cement ratio in a few minutes and ensure that concrete fills the entire formwork.

  • Safety and quality

    Increased.

All sensor applications empower you to make data-driven decisions. This makes your construction site safer and enhances the quality of the concrete result.

  • Document effort

    Automated.

Automatically transmit sensor-measured data in real-time to the web application. Quick and complicated data analysis through intuitive dashboards and reporting in the web application.

Six Applications – One Central Web App

All sensor data is centralized in the Vemaventuri Web App. Monitor every aspect of your concrete's performance from a single dashboard, set threshold alarms, and generate automated reports from any device.

  • Concrete Temperature & Maturity Monitoring

Control the thermal behavior and strength development of concrete by monitoring temperature and maturity in real time. The system tracks core and surface temperatures simultaneously and uses the maturity method (ASTM C1074) to calculate live concrete strength based on its unique temperature history. This ensures compliance with your Thermal Control Plan (TCP) while enabling informed decisions for formwork removal and construction progress. Automated alerts notify you if temperature gradients exceed safe limits.

    Use Cases

Mass concrete elements such as large foundations and thick piers with a high risk of thermal cracking (DEF), projects exposed to extreme weather conditions, and any construction where rapid formwork cycling is critical—such as slabs, high-rise buildings, and time-sensitive structures.

    Solutions

Hub & Node, TEMO Link, or ISC Link with temperature sensors

    Benefits

    • Prevent thermal cracking
    • Ensure concrete quality in challenging weather conditions
    • Accelerated cycle times
    • Enhanced safety
  • Concrete Pressure Monitoring

Turn your formwork into a smart "speedometer." Instead of using theoretical hydrostatic calculations, we measure the actual lateral pressure exerted by the fresh concrete in real-time.

    Use Cases

High walls, single-sided formwork, high-velocity pours, and pumping concrete from the bottom up

    Solutions

Hub & Node or ISC Link with 3D-printed, reusable pressure sensor that mounts flush with the formwork skin

    Benefits

    • Optimized Pouring Speed – time savings
    • Blowout Prevention
    • Safe Concreting of High Walls and Columns
  • Concrete Detection & Compaction Monitoring

Eliminate uncertainty during concrete placement and vibration. Using high‑frequency sound pulses, this application confirms the presence of concrete in areas where visual inspection is impossible and monitors the vibration energy delivered to the concrete. This ensures full coverage, uniform density, and a high‑quality surface finish. A clear “traffic light” logic on the Hub and in the web app signals when zones are correctly filled and optimally compacted.

    Use Cases

Blind pours, complex geometries, built‑in components, dense reinforcement, and architectural concrete applications where voids, honeycombing, or segregation must be strictly avoided and where high concrete quality is required.

    Solutions

Hub & Node with sonic sensors

    Benefits

    • Enables real‑time visibility inside the formwork during placement and compaction
    • Reduces the risk of voids, incomplete coverage, and honeycombing
    • Helps achieve more homogeneous, well‑compacted concrete
    • Minimizes rework, repairs, and invasive test drilling
  • Water Content Determination (w/c Ratio)

Lab‑grade fresh concrete analysis supports material consistency and structural durability. Using a handheld radar probe, you can verify concrete quality at the point of discharge within a few minutes.

    Use Cases

    Durability‑critical structures

    Solutions

    SONO Hub

    Benefits

    • Avoid cracks and spalling with the right water content
    • Detect quality issues early without waiting for lab results
    • Create objective quality records for QA/QC
