PERI employees step up to the Big Hike Challenge for Cancer Research UK.

All participants successfully completed the full hike in either Loch Lomond or the South Coast, with each route covering a distance of over 26 miles.

Employees from Cidon Construction teamed up with PERI for the Loch Lomond hike as part of their ‘Making a Difference’ fundraising campaign.

 

PERI Sales Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, Martin Richardson said:

“It was fantastic to complete the hike alongside the team at Cidon Construction. We’re extremely pleased with the amount we’ve managed to raise. Cancer is an illness that has the potential to affect every one us in some way throughout our lifetime. It’s rewarding to be able to give back and support the work the charity is doing. Well done to everyone who took part.”

 

Together, both companies have raised over £10,800 for the charity across both hikes.

As part of PERI’s plans to continue supporting local and national charity events, employees will be taking part in the Night Shine Walk for Cancer Research UK in September this year.

 

Head of Marketing at PERI UK, Tracy Armstrong, said:

“This is the biggest fundraising event we’ve taken part in since before COVID-19. We’re committed to increasing our contribution to local and national charities and are even more encouraged by the amount we’ve raised from these two events alone. Whilst we raise money for charity through our local offices, events like this are great at bringing our colleagues together from all over the UK for a good cause.”
