In 2024 alone, the system generated 720,000kWh of clean energy – reducing our reliance on imported electricity by nearly 48%. And thanks to an impressively sunny start to 2025, we’re already ahead of expectations. In the first six months of the year, we’ve produced 470,000kWh – 87,000kWh above predicted output.
In total, we’ve now generated 1.5 million kWh of solar power – enough to run 520 average UK homes for a year.
Our Brentwood site, home to our CNC operations, panel cleaning systems, and a fleet of electric vehicles, now operates primarily on solar energy we generate. In April to June 2025, an average of 75% of daily energy use came from solar. During working hours (6am–6pm), that figure rose to 96%, with only minimal draw from the grid – even while powering everything from cranes and tooling to IT systems and EV charging points.
Environmental Impact
Since going live, our PV system has helped reduce carbon emissions by over 304,000kg CO₂ – the equivalent of:
- Driving an electric vehicle 4.5 million kilometres
- Circling the Earth 110 times
- Planting 18,500 trees
Powering Our Future
Like many PERI subsidiaries around the world, we’re committed to driving sustainability forward. Our UK solar initiative is already making a measurable contribution to PERI Group’s global climate targets – and we’re only just getting started.
Our investment in solar has more than proven itself already in just 24 months, and it will continue delivering environmental and commercial benefits for years to come.
