At the W129 Footbridge Pier site near Coventry, our enhanced fabrication service supplied custom box-outs to achieve the foundation’s 13 complex facets and angles, ensuring precision, speed, and cost efficiency. Delivered to our workshop as a flat-pack, our team assembled the box-outs following a step-by-step manual before sending it to site ready for installation.

The W129 Footbridge Pier near Coventry features a multi-faceted foundation designed to reduce concrete use, creating a complex formwork challenge for contractor Balfour Beatty VINCI. To meet the design requirements, we combined our most advanced services for the first time in the UK, pushing the boundaries of traditional construction methods.
