PERI UP Modular System Scaffolding was used for the external scaffold around the three digester tanks.

Brighton & Hove WTW, Brighton
Peacehaven, United Kingdom

The project aims to bring cleaner water into Sussex as part of its new wastewater treatment scheme in Peacehaven. This will include two pumping stations located at Marine Drive in Brighton and Portobello, Telscombe Cliffs.

11 Kilometres of brand new sewer tunnel stretching from Brighton Marina, via the treatment works and back out to sea again, is being created to treat the 95 million litres of waste water which is generated each day by the residents of Brighton and Hove, Peacehaven, Ovingdean, Rottingdean and Woodingdean, Saltdean and Telscombe.

Portobello and Marine Drive will act as underground pumping stations to the main treatment site of Peacehaven and will involve tunnelling between 8 and 41metres below the ground’s surface. Based upon their professional experience and long-term relationship with Southern Water, 4Delivery, the joint venture between Costain and MWH, was commissioned to deliver the project. Trueform Ltd and M J Gallagher were commissioned as the concrete contractors who in turn approached our team for the most suitable temporary work solutions.
